I am a Los Angeles-based art writer with a focus on on contemporary painting and photography. I am finding myself emphasizing three main areas of contemporary art: the occult, the Middle East, and Africa.

Contemporary art is strongly influenced by symbolism and natural and spiritual archetypes in order to make social, political, and spiritual statements, and therefore much of my writing delves into the philosophy that inspires artwork.

My interests in contemporary Middle Eastern and African artists begins simply with my attraction for the artwork that I have see produced and my curiosity of learning more about the artists, the artwork, and the cultures. I also believe that seeing international cultures and social issues through the lens of art provides a clearer vision than what is perceived through commercial news media.

I have written for several art publications, including exhibition catalogs for Stephen Romano Gallery and the Morbid Anatomy Museum.
